Kane achieves his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his enthusiasm in returning to the Premier League has diminished and he is open to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is at the moment halfway through the four-year agreement he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the summer of 2023.
The veteran forward has scored an remarkable 103 goals in 106 matches for the German side, playing a key role in them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which represented the maiden significant honor of his distinguished career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has recently expressed that he would welcome to see Kane go back to England, where he requires 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England leader has now clarified that he is no longer as enthusiastic about coming back home as he once was, and would definitely consider prolonging his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could definitely see that," he commented.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be prepared to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so goes and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top marksman for both Tottenham and England and lately became the quickest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five divisions, reaching the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a trophy had escaped him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would feel after overcoming his trophy barren spell, but now believes it has made him eager for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
